As I filmed this man’s mother crying about the son she lost in Iraq I was bereaved for her, since the man had fought for my freedom and my safety.  I’m not sure how or what the correllation between Kyle and this man, but for some reason I felt as if I could empathise with this woman because of what I experienced so many years ago.  She lost someone dear to her and knows that he is okay with God now.  I can only pray that all those men and women will be remembered the way I remember Kyle…Not afraid to be happy.  Kyle if you’re out there reading this from somewhere, I miss you man.  It’s hard to think what life would be like with you here.  I know it would be a world of difference.  But I would love it nonetheless.

Parking Spaces http://aaronmediaproductions.com/blog/2007/03/17/parking-spaces/ http://aaronmediaproductions.com/blog/2007/03/17/parking-spaces/#comments Sat, 17 Mar 2007 21:38:56 +0000 Administrator http://aaronmediaproductions.com/blog/2007/03/17/parking-spaces/ The only thing worse than the Taliban… Finding a parking space in Champaign/Urbana Illinois. Especially if you live in an apartment. While living in a small two bedroom in downtown Urbana, I had the most difficult time parking. On three separate occasions I can remember having notes on my vehicle saying I was in a rented space. Piss on you parking space renters. The street is public and I never met anyone that needed a parking space at a church seven days a week. I though I was done with all the hullabaloo, but on the last night in that cracker box of an apartment, I parked on the street just where I always had. The next morning I woke up to an actual parking ticket on the windshield of my wife’s car. I cursed a little and wondered what I had gotten it for! Turns out I was too close to a driveway and was considered blocking it because I was closer to it than (5′) five feet! There was plenty of room for people to enter and exit the lot. And the worst part was – there was another car on the other side of the drive parked just as close to the drive as I, however it didn’t see a ticket on his windshield. Bollix!!!! It’s only$15, but I think I’m going to fight it! It’s the principle.

Moving can be… http://aaronmediaproductions.com/blog/2007/03/17/moving-can-be/ http://aaronmediaproductions.com/blog/2007/03/17/moving-can-be/#comments Sat, 17 Mar 2007 21:13:14 +0000 Administrator http://aaronmediaproductions.com/blog/2007/03/17/moving-can-be/ Moving can be a lot of things. This week it was exhausting. We signed the papers and then, literally, moved everything. Our friend Mike helped me with the heavy stuff on Thursday. I picked up and lifted everything out of that silly little apartment and moved into our new home. I then drove to St. Louis and moved the rest of the big heavy stuff from our other house in Belleville. It put me out of commission for the rest of the weekend. Tired is the word for the day. Living at an intersection will take some getting used to, but I think it will work out. Our house is really right on a corner. Last night was my first night in there and I heard a few truck racing by, but it didn’t bother me too much. I may have to work something out for the basement to be sleep worthy (in case I need a nap or something). In any case it’s coming along nicely and I think it will be a nice place to live for a few years!

New Jobs are Fun http://aaronmediaproductions.com/blog/2007/03/12/new-jobs-are-fun/ http://aaronmediaproductions.com/blog/2007/03/12/new-jobs-are-fun/#comments Mon, 12 Mar 2007 07:09:56 +0000 Administrator http://aaronmediaproductions.com/blog/2007/03/12/new-jobs-are-fun/ cameraI have recently been employed by an affiliate of CBS in Champaign, Illinois, USA.  WCIA channel 3 to be exact.  I just want to say I have never had so much fun while working.  Covering story after story can get tiresome from time to time, but it is always interesting and never boring.  Thank you all who have been in prayer and supported me in my quest to reach this goal.
